SHAPE Venture Studio – Startup Lifecycle Process

30 START UPS IN 3 YEARS, approx. 10/year

Step 1: iIdeation Committee ( Approx.7 days) 
  • SHAPE team and LPs present pre-screened startup ideas
  • Ideas are challenged and refined
  • Committee votes to shortlist 3 high-potential concepts
  • These move to the feasibility stage
Step 2:Feasibility Study + Slideware + Business Plan (Approx. 30 days) 
  • SHAPE’s structuring & research team, with LP support, conducts full validation
  • Deliverables:
  1. Market & competitor analysis
  2. Technical & operational feasibility
  3. Financial model
  4. Slide deck
  5. Complete Memorandum of Information
  • Projects are validated or invalidated at this stage
Step 3: Founding Team Recruitment + LP Advisory ( Approx 30 days) 
  • SHAPE headhunts and hires a tailored executive/founder team with a validation committee
  • Offers up to 20% equity with vesting, tied to performance milestones
  • One LP or industry expert is assigned as startup advisor-in-residence
  • Governance protocols are defined
Step 4: Vehicle Setup + Initial Cash Injection (Approx. 10 days)
  • Legal setup of the operating vehicle
  • Average €1M equity injection, deployed progressively
  1. Includes potential bonuses and public innovation grants
  • Capital phased according to performance checkpoints
  • SHAPE retains ~80% equity for high leverage

Life Of The STARTUP

Step 5: MVP Build + Reporting System Setup (approx 30 days)
  • Build and deploy first version of the product
  • standardize KPIs and reporting structure
  • integrate into SHAPE’s platform-wide control & transparency systems
  • Set up governance board and tracking dashboard
Step 6: Iteration + Expansion Phase (1-3 years) 
  • IProduct refinement based on market feedback.
  • Process optimization an hiring of key talent.
  • Launch go-to-market strategies
  • Commercial expanision and international growth
  • Regular board meetings and performance reviews
Step 7: Exit or Follow-On at Series A Metrics
  • Once Series A KPIs are met, SHAPE enables:
    1. Secondary sale ( early exit for LPs / SHAPE)
    2. Follow-on investment (internal or external)
    3. Continued involvement based on startup trajectory
